In 2015, EC Grow purchased approximately 40 acres off Hwy 12; two miles from the manufacturing facility with the primary purpose of building bulk raw material storage. By November 2016, two buildings were completed:
- 25,000 ton of storage for fertilizer
- 25,000 ton of storage for bulk salt
As EC Grow streamlined its supply chain process utilizing this new storage location, it became evident that efficiencies would be improved with additional warehousing for finished goods.
The last time EC Grow expanded their warehousing capacity was in 2008 with two additional buildings on another piece of property just north of their manufacturing facility. With these two buildings completed, a total of 9 interconnected warehouses accounted for 168,000 sq. ft. of total storage and was being used as their main distribution center.
With ample room to expand at the Hwy 12 location, the new 80,000 sq. ft. warehouse was completed in the fall of 2018. This new warehouse has 6 loading docks and 2 drive in loading areas for flatbeds. “With the addition of this new warehouse, we can better serve our customers by building more inventory and respond quicker as our customer’s needs change.” said Randy Nandory, Director of Manufacturing.
