Our company continues to deliver record sales led by a talented team and a commitment to "Fun Served Here".POSITION SUMMARY:A food manufacturing organization is looking to appoint an EHS Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for aligning site specific Environmental Health and Safety processes with business goals and to engage employees to promote behaviors that will achieve the highest levels of productivity in the safest possible manner. The incumbent will establish, implement, and oversee all EHS programs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :Align corporate and local EHS goals and strategiesLead EHS audits and inspections, developing remediation plans as neededLead multi-media environmental compliance including, but not limited to: Water (waste, storm); Waste (hazardous and non-hazardous); Air (external emissions)Lead continuous improvement initiative regarding EHS policies and programsMaintain and ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulationsLead employee training programs regarding EHS behaviors and complianceComplete accident investigations and serious incident reportsRecommend corrective/preventative measures where indicatedInteract with regulatory bodies and represent the company at local, state, and federal regulatory meetingsDetermine the need for industrial hygiene monitoring (air, noise, heat stress, etc.) and conduct the monitoring or coordinate the monitoring with the appropriate agencyReview the results of industrial hygiene sampling and compare to established regulatory limitsParticipate in Quality Assurance reviews within the facilityAssist in 3rd party audits and inspections pertaining to food safety and regulatory complianceManage emergency management programsManage safety budgetDevelop and drive a safety committee teamCOMPETENCIES:Self-motivated with strong problem solving/critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making skills.Ability to use data to drive decisions.Ability to remain organized while handling several projects and tasks independently in fast-paced environment.Strong professional verbal and written communication skillsPassion and alignment with Company mission, vision, values, and operating principles.Ability to lead efficient and effective compliance programs regarding federal, state, and local Safety and Multi-Media Environmental regulations, including but not limited to Title V, RCRA, SPCCDriving safe metrics downward while maintaining compliance with all federal and state safety regulationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Environmental Health & Safety or related disciplineADDITIONAL PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or related disciplineRelevant ExperienceUS Salary Pay Range$70,000 - $80,000 USDDisclaimer: This position description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the team member.
